The right dose
Q: How do you buy heartgard, when you have a growing lab-puppy? three weeks ago, he weighed 10.3 lbs. and this week, he is 17.7 lbs. and growing. thanks!!
A: You begin by using the appropriate strength. in this case "blue" for dogs up to 25 lbs. once the pet is 26 lbs or over, you can give 2 of the "blue" if you have any left over. then use the "green" through 50 lbs. a new prescription is required for each change in strength.

Continue worming
Q: Used strongid every 2 weeks for 3 months as prescribed by vet, now after a month of not worming, she is 16 weeks old now, can i buy a wormer and continue or does she need a vet again. should i have any concerns or should she be okay if i start again?
A: I would stop routine worming in a dog and simply use once monthly heartworm preventative with heartgard or interceptor which prevents most worms.
