Testing
Q: Hi, i just returned from the vet and had my two dogs tested for heartworm. the tests where negative and i wanted to purchase a one year supply of heartgard for each dog. the vet informed me i would have to return in six months and have them retested. i have just moved to florida from ohio where i could buy the meds for two years on a test as long as i administered the medicine year round. any info would be appreciated. kathy mahony
A: Most veterinarians in florida test once a year, i know my does.|check with your veterinarian for the reason for more frequent testing, could be some local conditions. you might also call some other local veterinarians for guidance.

My dog eats cat feces
Q: How can i get my dog to not eat my cat's feces? i can't get him to understand that the litter box is not for snacking. please help!! thanks kirstin franzman
A: Caprophagia|you will need to add a protein-derived product call for-bid #10475 to your cat's diet. this in turn will make the feces very unpalatable.|your problem is shared by a good number of pet owners so please do not feel this is an isolated thing.
